Location

The historic city of Gloucester has always been an important centre of England ever since Roman times, when it was then called 'Glevum'. In the Victorian era, Gloucester Docks was once the most inland port in Britain. Now Gloucester is the ideal base to explore Gloucestershire's fine regions of the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean and towns including Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud and Cirencester.
